.Bio-MEMS Laboratory

The mission of the Bio-MEMS Laboratory is to develop Micro-ElectroMechanical Systems (MEMS) for bio-medical applications. We highlight the spirit of innovation and high quality up-stream research. Currently, we focuses on three research topics:

- Impedimetric monitoring of biological substances, i.e., cell, DNA, and protein, in microfluidic systems

- Paper-based microfluidics for cell-based assays

- Inhibition of cell proliferation under electrical stimulations

.Biomechanics Laboratory

Biomechanics is the study of the structure and function of biological systems by means of the methods of mechanics. Therefore biomechanics uses expertise from disciplines such as engineering, anatomy, aerospace, rehabilitation, medicine, orthopaedics, sport science, and many others. It studies animal, human, and plant structure and motion. The research, scholarly activities, and impact of faculty members and graduate students hailing from the Laboratory are internationally recognized.

.Ultrasound Imaging Lab

The mission of Ultrasound Imaging Lab is to develop novel ultrasound parametric imaging technologies for clinical diagnoses. Based on the knowledge integration of science, engineering, physics, and medicine, we focus on the fundamental studies of functional ultrasound parametric imaging and the corresponding applications and tissue characterization. We welcome students who are interested in ultrasound imaging to join our lab.
